On the move...

Well, maybe.

Our owner/real estate has decided to put our rent up $20 a week. We rang to question this, and were told it's because interest rates have risen. Well yes, they have, but not by 12% which is what you're raising our rent by!! The owner seems to think that he's doing us a favour, because someone told him that he could rent our unit for $210 a week! I'd like to see him try!!! He rang Pete later and told him that we could have it for $190 a week.. how kind.

We figure that if we have to pay that much, we may as well be somewhere a bit bigger. We can get a three bedroom house with a good sized yard for $200 a week!

The only problem is crappy timing. End of semester... loads of work to do, rego is due shortly, my Oma is coming from Perth and we only get to see her about once every two years or so.... in short, not the best time to have to pack a house and move!!

So I think we've decided to go onto a periodic lease, take our time looking for the perfect place, and move leisurely, instead of in the next two weeks. Been a stressful time coming to that conclusion though!

Having said that, we do have appointments to look through 3 properties next week... so we'll see how that all goes.

Anyway.. another assignment done today, two to go. Looking foward to it all being over. Been sleeping badly because I have horrid toothache. My doctor warned me that extra acidity in the saliva whilst pregnant can cause toothache... so I'm trying to think of it as a pregnancy symptom. Doesn't make it hurt any less though!!

Anyway, must off and get some food, nothing left in our pantry!!
